queensland Working in Oxenford, where to fish?

Would anyone know where I can fish for an hour or two (probably around 7am) near or at Oxenford?

There is the Coomera River, I think there is a fishing platform under the old bridge.

Well looks like a canal estate is where the old bridge used to be!

B,C or D look like they water access, probably just roll up and have a look!

There is a walkway under the bridge between A and B on your map that is easy to fish from.

D is a boat ramp, and you could get under the bridge to C from there as well, but there is no path.

Plenty of other landbased spots in the Coomera, just takes a bit of exploring to find them. Google Earth (or whereis) will help you with this. Of course I would give it a miss for a week or so until the fresh stops flowing so hard into the river.

If I had to make a choice (judging from the pic only) I'd choose "C". You have the river, the canal mouth, the minor canal mouths, a long (probably) rock wall and also the bridge structure as well.

We've gotten a couple of Cod from spot C after a dismal trip to the Albert. So we weren't prepared for any Saltwater fishing

ive fished A and B, i find A to be the best, nice little jetty there.

Looking at the map keep going to the left,to the very end of the river thats actually in oxenford,bream,jacks,mullet,trevs,bullies.

As you pull up to the weir the river is the water on your left,oh and bass in the lake.

I thought I ought to go back to this thread and let everyone know what happened.

The past two day, I've spent about half an hour each day throwing lures into the river. Good thing I didn't donate any.

Guys, the place is good. The platform is great. I was at point A and felt comfy there, perfect for a wandering worker like me- killing time before clocking in and relaxing after clocking off.

PS No fish caught; some "hit-like hit" was felt but that was it.
