3 Men go into a motel.

The receptionist tells them a room costs $30.

So each man paid $10 and they go to the room......

A while later the receptionist realizes that the room is actually only $25

So the receptionist sends the assistant to the 3 guys room with $5.

On the way the assistant could not figure out how to split $5 evenly between the 3 men.

So the assistant gave each man $1 and kept $2 for himself.....

This now meant that the 3 men had each paid $9 for the room,which is a total of $27

Add the $2 that the assistant kept = $29

SO, Where is the other Dollar ???

brian is spot on. the idea of the riddle is to mislead you.

the $2 stolen is already accounted for in the 3 x $9 the men paid. you can't count it twice in the final total.

SPOILER ALERT - The 'answer' to the riddle should read like this :P

This now meant that the 3 men had each paid $9 for the room (and the assistant),which is a total of $27
