Locality: Newport Waters, Moreton Bay

Activity: entrance channel extended - new beacons established

Mariners are advised that the entrance channel into Newport Waters has been extended by approximately 750 metres and has been dredged to a depth of 2.4 metres at the lowest astronomical tide.

The new entrance has been marked with a lit port lateral (Fl R 3s) beacon in approximate position latitude 27° 10.981'S, longitude 153° 05.663'E and a lit starboard lateral (Fl G 3s) beacon in approximate position latitude 27° 10.982' S, longitude 153° 05.627' E.

Maritime Safety Queensland Beacon to Beacon Directory 9th edition map: 85

Latitude and longitude positions are on WGS84 horizontal datum and are compatible with GDA94 datum.
