Just watched it rain heavily on the neighbours side of the fence, no more than a light sprinkle one side of our house, driveway not even wet.

going by the comments on some weather forums it was a case of some got some rain and a lot missed out. I`m at Silkstone (ippy) we didn`t get much at all but did see some great lightning activity. Brassall on the other side of Ipswich reported hail.

I have to say, when the second front came through we got a little bit, but certainly could have had a lot more!

Need it to slow down, when they move through fast like that very few places get a decent fall, it comes and goes so quick.

BoM are failing badly with their ongoing panic inspiring severe storm warnings. Every storm has the potential to be severe but to claim that large hail etc will fall: they are just guessing! The wet finger out the window is just as accurate or look at the colour of the clouds ---Green for hail. grey for wet. Gawd we need some grey ones up our way. 4mm last night.

No action from the storms and all the decent rain has missed us here (Strathpine).

A few hours of good solid rain would be great!!

Have to agree with you re the warnings, my wife hits the panic button but looking at the clouds gives a better idea of what's coming and its likely track!!
