the scary part is, often, when they do boat ramps and car and boat trailer area upgrades, the brain trust that come up with the u-beaut designs, do it with no practicle knowledge of what is and what is not a good usable design for trailer boat owners.

Often they toss in a beautification idea that includes a little used pathway ,trees/shrubs etc in a garden setting, a couple of tables and bench seats, so those who fish off the boat (and do not like to move when boaties arrive to use the ramp) have some where to put their fishing esky and litter etc to keep it off the ground.

Then the brain trust gets in a huff when boaties point out that 1/4-1/2 of the previous parking area has disappeared, and the design of the new ramp is a sexually abused design.

the one at the marina is a rocky bottom so not the best if you have a nice boat. There is also an old concrete ballast in the shallows that will clean your hull right up if you hit it with any speed! I saw the jetty builders there today so it looks like we are getting a jetty which is nice but as mentioned in the summer it will be full of drunken bogans leaving their shit everywhere for the pelicans to choke on!
