Locality: Southport Broadwater, west of Crab Island

Activity: amendment to trial speed limit for all motorised vessels

Mariners are advised that a trial speed limit area for all motorised vessels has been established along the western side of the Southport Broadwater adjacent to Runaway Bay.

The trial speed limit of 6 knots for all motorised vessels applies during the hours of 0800 hours to 1200 hours daily.

The trial area is identified by speed limit advisory signs and yellow special mark buoys Fl Y 2.5s have been established to limit interaction between motorised vessels operating at speed and sailing activities at the location.
