queensland Yakking around canals in surfers

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has had any luck fishing in around the canals near the southport bridge? Was thinking about heading down there to try my luck in amongst some of the pontoons and pylons. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm not after anyones specific spots, just wondering if anyone has pulled any fish from the general area lately?

I haven't fished that area for a while but you'll always come across the humble bream around the pontoons and pylons. Jacks are also a possibility if that's what you are targeting. A lightly weighted 2-3" plastic or a 40-50mm hardbody will see you catching a few bream if lures are your thing.

Thanks mate, not targeting anything in particular was just gonna float around and flick a few plastics and hope just to catch anything. Thanks for the tips mate.
