Locality: Canaipa Passage - Slipping Sands

Activity: commencement of dredge works

Mariners are advised that the cutter suction dredge 'Nu-Compact' will be operating in

Canaipa Passage between the two areas of shoal water adjacent to Slipping Sands commencing Monday, 24 March 2014 remaining on site until Friday, 06 June 2014.

Plant and equipment associated with the works will be positioned near the dredge site in Canaipa Passage from 24 March onwards. Contact with the dredge 'Nu-Compact' can be made on VHF channel 12 during the period of works.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and reduce speed when passing the area of works. .
