Locality: East Channel - Moreton Bay

Activity: deployment of temporary data monitoring buoys

Mariners are advised that three data monitoring buoys are to be temporarily deployed adjacent to the East Channel in Moreton Bay from about 30 April 2014 for a period of approximately nine months.

The data monitoring buoys will be yellow in colour and fitted with flashing yellow lights. The buoys will be deployed in the following approximate positions:

Sholl Banks - latitude 27° 09.8527' S longitude 153° 21.8280' E

Ridge Shoal - latitude 27° 13.1845' S longitude 153° 20.8363' E

Middle Banks - latitude 27° 11.9843' S longitude 153° 19.7023' E

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution when transiting the area.

AUS charts affected: 236 MSQ charts affected: Moreton Bay – Manly to Mooloolaba (MB1)

MSQ Beacon to Beacon Directory 9th edition map: 90 and 91

Latitude and longitude positions are on WGS84 horizontal datum and are compatible with GDA94 datum.
