Brisbane Airport Waters Off Limits to Fishos

BRISBANE fishos are being warned to stay away from waters near to the city's airport, which is currently undergoing construction of a new runway.

The following nortice was issued by the Brisbane Airport Corporation:

For security and safety reasons, access to Brisbane Airport land, via land or water,

including the site of the new runway currently under construction, is strictly prohibited.

BAC has noticed that some anglers and crabbers have been entering Brisbane Airport

land, primarily via Jacksons Creek, the recently completed Kedron Brook Floodway

Drain and at Serpentine Inlet, and seeks the fishing community’s assistance to stop this unauthorised access.
