A week at Amity

Well we are 6 weeks away from our trip to Stradie where we get a house for the week and tow the boats over for plenty of fishing . We have done this for a few years now and this year will be bigger than ever before with a house with an acre of land we have 6 boats coming and 15 people .

Can't wait to get over there and i hope for similar weather to previous years where we got out 5 to 6 times offshore fishing . Should have another awesome week to report so stay tuned for another Wanderers week at Stradie

This is the week straight after the school holidays Kelvin hope to see you over there again

What are the dates Mark? Might try to pop out for a day trip again - might even leave you all something to find (for me) on the bottom of the ocean again .............. :silly:

July I'm assuming you mean Lance? Geez that's a good deal with the free boat -will have to take advantage of that sometime. Will see how I go - I am running our District Athletics Carnival this year so I will be flat out, although just HOW flat out remains to be seen (ie. I'll be trying ot get out for a fish ...... ;) ).

Not going to make it this weekend unfortunately Mark and crew. Have an open home to go to on Sat and a couple of other things have popped up. Hope you got out today and are getting out tomorrow. You sure picked a cold week but I guess that probably fires the snaps up does it?

How'd you guys go for the week Mark - get out much and catch much? Or just work on your right bicep .......... :silly:

Was a good trip mate. Myself, Motely, Duncan and Newy got out at least 3 times. Mark was a champ and did 4 days. On the fishing front it was a bit slow. On the drinking front, it was full on. No report or pics have been done as none of it is rated PG for the good folks on here, that's what you get when it's windy as!

I'll post up a few boat porn pics when I get them of my phone.

Forgot my camera so I got no photos for the week like Julian said I did get offshore 4 times for the week and got in to the snapper they were good qaulity but no spectacular models. The moses perch were in their usual numbers and we got in to some good specimens caught of those fish to.

Would have loved to do a big report but with out photos it would have been a bit lame , we had a great week all up there were also some nice pearl perch and amberjack caught by the other boys. The house this year was awesome with just over an acre of land it fit our boats all 6 of them easily around the block.

There was a large fire place which was used at night after fish and boats were cleaned a great spot to sink a few coldies and tell fishing tales. The house slept 15 and was huge with a big veranda with bbq to burn meat and fish to feed the hard working fishos at the end of the day.

We will get this house again next year perfect for the boaties and working out to $85 each for the weeks stay it was very afordable, we catered as a group and this also worked out to $50 each for the week. It was a top week with a great crew again so stay tuned for the next years planning

Great stuff fellas - that's more times than I thought you'd get out so well done. Sounds like the house is a cracker and bl00dy cheap - I think I'll be taking some long service leave to coincide with these trips once my boys are old enough. Need to get Dad's boat out sometime - been too long! District Athletics winds up tomorrow, then our school fete this Sat, so from next weekend onwards I should be back into a bit more fishing.

Oh and someone tell old Motley Crew (hi Colleen ....) to get out of the way, he's blocking the view (and he still can't count to three ........ )
