Jumpinpin and fathoms

Hey, thinking of fishing the pin with a mate next weekend and was thinking to fish one of the fathoms, maybe the 18 as well that day. Wondering how far it is between the pin channel and the fathom, and would it be worth checking out the fathoms or worth going somewhere else. Wanted a gt but doubt therell be any so tuna mackeral cobia snapper target and jewies, threadies in the bay

Pin bar can be hectic so take caution if you decide to cross it. There’s ground around that area without having to go too far south to the 18s. Check out navionics and make sure you are aware of the green zones

sweet, yeah I've heard the pin bar crossing is fairly rough, are they longies in that area often? What are species you reckon are in surrounding ground?

No idea mate - might be a long tail around.  You’d have to go for a look. Remember snapper and pearl perch are closed at the moment. Alternatives to target are tailor, Jew, Cobia

no worries thanks, a cobia would be good lol, would the 18 fathoms have cobia do you reckon?
