Hinze Western Arm 1/8/24

Went to the western arm this morning to find that the car park been taken over by the movie with all the lower trailer parks fenced off and only 3 trailer parks up towards the toilet block remaining. There is signage saying that there will be restrictions from 6/8 to the 9/8. Looks like they have started early and nothing on SEQ water recreation and safety notices site, The signage near the toilet block says that 2 bays towards the wall will be no go ( Includes where we just placed our shrimp traps and the entire area in front of the dam wall so you will be unable to go from the western arm to the eastern arm. Fishing wise it was cold and windy with plenty of white caps that kept the spotlock on the minnkota working continuously hard. We caught most of our fish in front of the white pot that will be in the no go area. Final tally 46 fish between 20 and 51cm.

I was just saying that I hadn’t caught a 50 cm bass for a while , well done , good to see there still in there!
