Swimbaiting help

Hey guys just getting into swimbait fishing chasing barra around the metre and big flathead. Will be fishing around bridges for barra mainly so understand ill probable need 2 rods a longer one for the flats and one for the tighter bits. 

Want to know what rods you suggest and maybe if i could get away with using one setup.

I was watching a YT tournament fisho (cannot remember who it was sorry) and they said they had dropped down to 7’ for swimbaiting and wasnt really missing the casting distance for better accuracy and ease of managing.  

I have one SWB rod but would not classify myself as anything other than a muppet with it - still to christen the damn thing.

I use a Okuma Komodo 8-15 swimbait rod for open water work.

For tighter works in the timbers or bridges I use a 6'6" Sabre custom rod to have more control over the fish.

Longer rods are not as good handling fish close to the boat.
