Thats a huge EYE for a small body, and a weird under backside fin.

aint seen nothing like it, unless it looses/changes the under back fin when it matures.

Caught south side of Mud Island, photo doesnt do it justice, was very red in colour, darker on the topside, shook its head a lil like a tarpon, very quick head shakes... very soft in the mouth, caught on slider soft plastic

they are called a "big red eye".....obvious why isn't it - i have caught many out around the bay islands from 15 to 33 cms on berkley 4 inch swimming mullet....apparently no good for anything like eating or bait from what i have found out about them....
