Unfortunately the current vaccines won't guarantee that you won't get infected or reinfected or that you won't be able to pass the virus on to someone else and lastly, if they will even work against the various strains of the virus. They are being rushed out and with no long term studies as would be the norm, more of a political statement to appease the masses than a guaranteed  protection. So personally I would not be rushing out to get vaccinated until a few more years go by to see what effects there will be from these and will just take my chances in the mean time. Just my 2 cents worth!

As I said, I wouldn't mind if it stopped for a while , and today it is still drizzling with occasional rain from yesterday with no end in sight, there is a band of patchy rain (about 600+km long) that is on a diagonal to the coast so if it keeps on the present course we will keep getting wet for quite a while. Hopefully it will change direction and either go out to sea or dissipate.
Oh well we are in lock down over the weekend so not much else to do except relax and watch movies.

One of my other daughters is now stuck in Qld as she was booked to  fly out tomorrow morning to go back home to W.A., and as they have done a hard border closure for an indefinite period, it could be a while before she can go back, she's not impressed either!

I personally would be surprised if it doesn't go longer than the 3 days, but shops will still be open and deliveries will continue as usual, only difference is we will have to wear masks. My daughter will most likely get her money back for the flight but the problem is that she will most likely have to quarantine in a hotel for two weeks when she gets back and that could cost her thousands which she can't afford.

Went down to Bribie Island to do a top up at the Woolworths store as we have had one daughter, hubby and bub stay with us for the past 2.5 weeks so our supplies were low and it looked like the entire Bribie Island traffic from the main road in was turning into the shopping car park, so diverted to the other Woolworths at Bellara and there was a queue of about 50m long to get into the store as they were limiting numbers into that store, as I didn't want to wait that long and it was raining, so did another diversion and finally drove to the Woolworths  next to the Caboolture Hospital.
That one wasn't too much of an issue except that most of the meat and bread were gone and only about 2 packs of toilet paper were left on the selves, looks like the locusts had come and gone.  Seriously for a 3 day lock down, some people are taking it way too far.

And speaking of rain it started at 5:30am this morning and it still hasn't stopped 11 hours later with no signs of it stopping any time soon, so I guess I will have to let it grow some more. 🙁

Nah, last thing I want to do is attract flies, this only happens  now and then, I was intending to cut the grass down before it bucketed but due to life getting in the way I left it a day too late, so now will just have to do it the hard way! We have a few cooler days ahead of us so if it doesn't rain I will hit it with the whipper snipper to knock the height down. Whipper snipping in the humidity and heat is not my idea of fun. Fortunately it is only at the front and back of the house that is the problem area, the rest of the block is manageable by the ride on, I am surprised to hear that you are dry down your way.

I am at Ningi and we have had heaps, about 480mm in the past 20 days,  400mm dumped in 2 days with the rest spread out over 5-7 days. I am going to have to hit the back and front of the house with a whipper snipper to knock it down a bit as it is getting too tall for the ride on mower.🙁

That weld will need to be cleaned out and re-welded, take it back to where you bought it and get them to fix it.

I think it is that thing that stops all of us doing what we are supposed to do and instead thinking about how we can get the boat out and have a crack 🙂
Oh and it could be an app too haha.

Yep, they are still around, type in "Hawaiian Snaps"  into Google or E-bay and you will get lots of results.
