  1. I can see why it is called a crazy fish. What a weird looking thing!
  2. Not sure the notifications function is working correctly at the moment. Started a new topic today and was surprised at no responses, but when I actually searched the topic there were several responses.
  3. Hi all, Have bought a berley bucket to hang off the boat and I am thinking of getting a mincer to make my own. Does anyone have any recipes, techniques, recommended mincers e.g manual or electric etc. cheers Greg
  4. Yes. Nice, clean and well organised. Looks good!
  5. Realistically if you are looking at a fairly new boat it should be housed on a suitably rigged trailer. If not, I would steer clear of it. There is a chance that it still comes in under the 2000kg threshold. The latest 4 stroke motors are lighter than the previous ones and you’re looking at aluminium which is lighter than fibreglass and requires less hp than fibreglass. If in doubt, ask the seller to tow it to the nearest weighbridge with you and ascertain the actual gross weight. My boat is 6.4 metres, fibreglass with a 200 hp v8 on the back and it comes in under 2000kg.
  6. Coral wouldn’t grow between the time from a flood to a drought. It takes many years. If there was coral there it would have been there for a long time. Have you tried the same spot in recent years? Maybe it’s still there.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
  8. I had a Garmin on my last boat and it was so much more user friendly than my current Lowrance.
  9. My understanding, which could be totally wrong, is that for any decent sized boats you need mechanical braking, but once you get around the 2000kg weight for boat, motor and trailer you need an electronic braking system.
  10. I used to have my big flybridge cruiser moored at Manly. Never actually used the ramps there. Is the entrance just past the main car park for berth holders? And hopefully one or both of my sons might be able to come on Wednesday.
  11. Yes, although never actually used it. And Manly would be okay.
  12. Hi Hweebe, I bought a couple of those Bluetooth battery monitors after my flat battery incident on my second trip out. There’s a topic on here somewhere about that. Anyway, installed them today and guess what? They work! So long as you are within ten metres of the boat they show the current voltage, and percent full, which I’m happy to say were 97% and 100% charged. Highly recommend, at least after one day. cheers Greg
  13. Hey Ray. Love to try for some of those bass. I know you’ve told us many times before but is there a limit on the size of engine allowed on NPD? Mine’s only 200hp. Is that okay?
  14. Not surprised it sold quickly. Looked like a good car.
  15. I’ve reserved it too at this stage. See how the weather goes closer to the day. Will need one or two deckies though
  16. The ad says it only comes with genesis, so yes
  17. You just need to take it back and demand your money back. They will refund it
  18. I would definitely be returning it. Happy to come with you if they give you any problems
  19. Wishing you a speedy recovery Dropbear
