We used to call those fish Whippy Tails. Used to catch tons at Bulwer.

Firstly, welcome to the forum Razel. I remember the old black queen rods. Used to have one once. I still have an old Wilson Bream Reaper which is an absolutely magic rod for bream. And they knew how to give rods a decent name back then.

If they’re anything like the marks I have on mine you may as well lose them! Lol

Thanks for the report Hweebe. I sense your frustration in trying to find fish and can only say I am feeling the same. Just trying to find a spot to take my teenage sons and actually get a decent bite but everywhere I go there seems to already be boats on any ground that is not completely featureless.

If we are talking about a support for your motor when trailering it my Merc has a purpose made removable steel support. I’m not sure whether they are supplied with a new motor or whether my dealer supplied it though.

In my opinion, for what it is worth, 100 metres is not enough

Tomorrow and Thursday are both looking magic. Might go out both days. I already have one decky but others welcome if interested.

This is with a Navionics Platinum Plus card, with 3D sonar switched on. Note the actual contours of the bottom such as the small humps towards the bottom right. The picture on the screen is actually much clearer but I’m a **** photographer.

I did the same thing. Easy to see the green zones now

I agree. If your jockey wheel can’t be swivelled with your car and trailer in the normal position it is either not set up right or is not designed for the trailer. Buy a different one or put spacers where it connects to the trailer to allow it to swivel down.

I’m happy with mine. The only annoying thing so far is the GPS which for some reason, doesn’t seem to work for auto-routing. But that is a Lowrance problem, not the boat. Be interested to hear how the trolling motor goes. I presume you mean a Minn-Kota or similiar. -
Well said.

Yes Sloth, Bought a new ss64. Had it a couple of months now. Only real fishing mod I’ve bought so far is a bait board/rod holder which mounts on the ski pole. cheers Greg -
